futura nostra est
At Prince Bishop School we pride ourselves on being an inclusive school and strive to support all children 'to be the best that they can be'. Our aim is to always try to identify at the earliest possible time children's special educational needs and to try to meet these needs in the best possible way. This very much relies on a three way partnership between the school, the child and their parent(s) or carer(s).
Because your child has a Statement of Educational Needs, our school is very careful in following the guidance of the statement and inputting the recommendations outlined so as to best support your child’s learning. Support is very specific to each individual case.
If necessary, we may ask you if we can refer your child to other outside agencies for further support and advice on how to meet your child's needs. These agencies could include Speech and Language, the Educational Psychologist, a Child Therapist as well as other appropriate agencies. Your consent will be sought if we need any further intervention from outside agencies.
We are committed to trying to work closely with parents as we view the support from home as critical. Help offered at home plays an important part in achieving success. If you require any more information about SEN and Inclusion, you a very welcome to contact the manager of inclusdion.
